I am alive. I'm in Yaounde to be poked, prodded and examined by PCMOs for my mid-service. I'm also depositing all sorts of bodily fluids along the way (or carrying them to the lab in discrete brown paper baggies) .
Celebrating the 4th of July in Yaounde will be fun. I had hoped we would be invited for an encore at the Ambassador's residence but that looks unlikely. We'll grill hamburgers at the case.
Mango fly larvae have all been removed; scars are healing nicely.

I think I finally am able to post a comment. I have no idea what I've been doing wrong.
Anyway, hope you made it safely to the beach. I'm sure you are glad to be done with the poking and prodding. Cannot wait to see you!!
Love
Mom
