I'm at the cyber cafe even though I didn't really intend to come again this week. Oh well! Not much has happened since Friday, except that last night I had PC Cameroon-style mac and cheese and it was awesome.
A lot of people have asked what to send in care packages, so I've put together a list of some things: kraft mac and cheese, spices (such as all spice or italian seasoning), grated parmesan cheese, soup or pasta mixes, any kind of mix really, crayons, pens, pencils, nice paper & stationary, bath stuff--exfoliating cream, nice soap, etc...just about anything that's light and would not be available in Africa. If your package is less than 1 lbs it doesn't get checked by customs and thus is more likely to reach me. Plus, it's cheaper to mail.
So that's all. We got matching pagne for our swearing in ceremony, so we'll be kinda dorky. It's actually not a bad fabric, so it'll be nice. I dropped off some fabric I bought yesterday at the tailor, so i have a new dress in the works. We have Tuesday off for Assumption Day and we're going on a picnic! Fun stuff.

Jess:
The J's will be here Friday. I'll show them the blog, pictures and Bill's blog and pictures.
I'll send another package this weekend.
Love you

Jessica,
I just came across your journal about your adventures in Cameroon. I added a link to your page to a database I collected of Peace Corps Journals and blogs:
http://www.PeaceCorpsJournals.com/
Features:
1. Contains over 1,400 journals and blogs from Peace Corps Volunteers serving around the world.
2. Each country has its own detailed page, which is easily accessible with a possible slow Internet connection within the field.
3. The map for every country becomes interactive, via Google, once clicked on.
4. Contact information for every Peace Corps staff member worldwide.
5. Official rules and regulations for current PCV online Journals and blogs. Those rules were acquired from Peace Corps Headquarters using the Freedom of Information Act.
6. Links to Graduate School Programs affiliated with Peace Corps, along with RPCVs Regional Associations.
There is also an e-mail link on every page. If you want to add a journal, spotted a dead link, or have a comment.
Thanks for volunteering with the Peace Corps!
